Motivation Monday: Polaroid love.

What is it about Polaroids that inspire creativity?

Searching for creative motivation or inspiration? Each Monday you can find all of the creative insight you need right here at Creative Something, with “Motivation Monday”.

Maybe it’s the way the contrast is abnormally skewed, the adjusted hues, or maybe it’s the instant-gratification of a developed photograph, but there is something about polaroids that inspires creativity.

And no matter how hard you try, you can’t just look at one polaroid. If there is a series or a photo-set, you will almost always find yourself skimming through the entire set.

To inspire your creativity this week, I have put together a short list of some of my favorite polaroid series. Take a view minutes to browse around the sets and post your favorite photographer (or photos) in the comments - if you feel so obliged.

Kalli Anne from Vancouver, Canada, has a small series of polaroid photos that are nothing more than stunning.

Kate Czuczman of London Town, UK, takes polaroids that will definitely bring a smile to your face.

Alison G. from Toronto, Canada, has a few hundred, beautiful polaroids for the abstract-photo fan. Alison also has a great, inspirational collection of Pola-diptychs!

Adam Alvillar will have you feeling like you’re living in the past with his extensive collection of polaroids.

Robert Weissner from Scottsdale, AZ, knows what it takes to bring out creativity in each and every photo he takes.

Alex Smith has a few polaroids that are personal and flavorful, the polaroids in this set will have you longing for more.

Whatever it is about polaroids that inspires creativity, you can always find some great creative motivation by looking at the polaroids others have taken. And now that Polaroids have officially stopped being produced, the photos take on a more valuable, vintage feeling.
