Creative, or just wacky? You decide.

Searching for creative motivation or inspiration? Each Monday you can find all of the creative insight you need right here at Creative Something, with “Motivation Monday”.

A home is where creativity can be expressed through decor and zen-like arrangement of that decor. For retired American boxer Mike Tyson, creativity doesn’t completely describe what to do with a home.

Take a look at Mike Tyson’s abandoned mansion, the unique zebra/tiger print, a giant pool room, mosaic bathroom walls, plants that are not quite real yet not quite fake, the entire mansion is very odd, which makes it a great source for creative inspiration.

The intricate details of the house (including the tiger cages in the back yard) make it unique, even for a mansion of it’s size. The style and spacing of each room is unexpected and inspiring in an odd kind of way.

Even more awkward than the house itself is the story of what has happened to it since Tyson abandoned it back in 1990. The story involves a giant diamond, a rug dealer, and an FBI agent.

Looking at the photos creates feelings of abandonment, uniqueness, and makes you want to see more; and the story will make you think outside of the box. Read more about the history behind the mansion, and view the entire photo set right here.

Would you consider the design of the mansion to be creative, or just wacky?
